NASCAR released the tentative weekend schedule and format for the 2025 Clash exhibition race at Bowman Gray Stadium on Thursday afternoon. The weekend schedule gave teams and fans the first look at how the entire weekend will play out at the historic facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – NASCAR announced today that The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 2 is sold out as fans eagerly anticipate the return of the NASCAR Cup Series to this historic venue for the first time since 1971.

Today, NASCAR announced The Clash will come to historic Bowman Gray Stadium for the first-time as the opening exhibition event for the 2025 season on Feb. 2. The announcement was made by Ben Kennedy as part of pre-race for tonight’s NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event at the racetrack. This will mark the first NASCAR Cup Series event at the racetrack in 54 years. The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will be broadcast live on FOX.

Today, NASCAR announced that it has acquired Winston-Salem Speedway, Inc., the lessee of the historic Bowman Gray Stadium. NASCAR will manage racing operations under the lease with the City of Winston-Salem that runs through Dec. 2050.

It’s never not a wild night at Bowman Gray Stadium, but Saturday’s season finale was exceptionally crazy all evening long at the place affectionately known as “The Madhouse.” All four divisions had tight championship battles that came right down to the final laps, and of course there was the typical drama that makes the Madhouse rock.

For the second season in a row, the championship battle in the headlining Modified division is going to come down to the final night of the season at Bowman Gray Stadium. And just like last year, it’s coming down to Tim Brown making more history, or Brandon Ward scoring his first Bowman Gray title.

When the first of two twin 25-lap features ended on Saturday night at Bowman Gray Stadium, it appeared that Jason Myers had just scored his 39th career victory at the race track dubbed “The Madhouse.” Myers held off Tim Brown on the race track, but a tire infraction in post-race technical inspection saw Myers lose credit for the win, and instead it was Brown who claimed another checkered flag for a record-extending 98th time.

The longest-running weekly racing track in all of NASCAR returns this Saturday to open its 74th season of racing. The 2023 season at Winston-Salem, North Carolina’s Bowman Gray Stadium will open the same way every season does with its longest race of the year, the Hayes Jewelers 200 for the Modifieds.
