Martinsville, VA -- 14 races, at 13 tracks, in three different states make up the slate of races on the 2025 schedule for the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic.

A trio of the Southeast's top touring series crowned champions Saturday night at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Both CARS Tour divisions -- Pro Late Models and Late Model Stock Cars -- were joined by the SMART Modified Tour for an action-packed night of racing in Wilkes County.

A strong field of Modifieds will descend on North Wilkesboro Speedway (NC) on Saturday October 19th for “The Finale” at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic’s Championship race coincides with the CARS Tour title races giving the fans three races that crown series’ champions on one day.

Three-time SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic champion Burt Myers scored his first win of 2024, in the Battle of SOBO, on Hitachi Energy Power-Up Raceday, Saturday at South Boston Speedway in Virginia. Myers, from Walnut Cove, NC, took the lead for the second and last time during a restart on lap 86 from Mike Speeney, from Newtown, PA. The Citrusafe Grill Cleaners number-1 then held off Ryan Newman, from South Bend, IN, and Jake Crum, from Statesville, NC, for the victory, his first at the southern Virginia race track.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and North Wilkesboro Speedway officials announced Thursday that the previously postponed Brushy Mountain Powersports 150 has a new race date. The race will now take place on Sunday, October 20 at the famed short track in the North Carolina foothills and will now become the penultimate race on the 2024 calendar.

With a stretch-run for the SMART Modified Tour just one race away, series officials have announced the “SMART 3” Playoff format.  The playoff will determine the final series standings and 2024 SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic champion.

A schedule change for the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic will bring the series back to South Boston Speedway in Virginia for the second time in 2024.

The Baldwin family’s roots are firmly planted in the Modified racing world, but this weekend they will also be planted at the beach as well. Brothers Luke and Jack Baldwin, third-generation Modified racers, will both compete in the SMART Modified Tour Beach Trip.

They’re at it again!  For the third year in a row the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic heads to race on the sandy shores of North Carolina. The promotional video for the Labor Day weekend Modified trip, and the promotional videos prior to, have become an annual tradition.

Stafford Speedway welcomes open modified competition back to the track this Friday night, June 7 with the Casella Waste Open 80.  Among the drivers looking to win the Casella Waste Open 80 will be 16-year-old modified star Carson Loftin.  After winning SMART Rookie of the Year honors last season, Loftin has taken the SMART Tour by storm this season, winning the first two races of the season and notching 5 wins through the first 7 races to lead the SMART standings.

Former Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman and former NASCAR Cup Series team owner Tommy Baldwin Jr. were involved in a post-race altercation Friday night at Franklin County Speedway. The altercation occurred following an on-track incident between Newman and Luke Baldwin, the son of Tommy Baldwin Jr., with 26 laps to go in the SMART Modified Tour Kenny Minter Classic.

Following a thorough examination of the foundation around the all-concrete grandstands near Turn 1 to ensure it meets safety requirements, North Wilkesboro Speedway track officials said construction crews have begun to repair the mysterious cavern found underneath the structure so it will be ready to host fans for the upcoming NASCAR All-Star Race week, May 14-19.

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. – For decades, rumors have circulated that historic North Wilkesboro Speedway was the site of secret moonshine still. Now some Wilkes County locals may have more reason to say ‘I told you so,’ as a possible moonshine cave has been discovered underneath the concrete frontstretch grandstands.

The biggest race in SMART Modified Tour history is shaping up to be a can’t-miss event. With $20,000 on the line, a stout field of drivers will call South Boston Speedway home this Saturday during the inaugural King of the Modifieds event.

There have been nine champions in the history of the SMART Modifieds. Now, one of them will make their return to the 600-horsepower wars in the Pace-O-Matic King of the Modifieds presented by Dominion Energy on Saturday, March 23, at South Boston Speedway in Virginia.
