In a move that has the drag racing world buzzing, six-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders has announced her return to the Pro Modified (Pro Mod) class as part of the Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J&A Service. The announcement came during the latest episode of Shake & Bake, in conjunction with Drag Illustrated’s social media, where Enders shared her excitement about the upcoming challenge.

Continuing to develop unique marketing and promotional relationships Professional Racers Owners Organization (PRO), the driving force behind the 2nd annual SCAG Power Equipment Superstar Shootout, February 6-8, 2025, today announced a wide-ranging cross-promotional program focusing on media exposure and racing exhibitions with Sick the Mag. The PRO Superstar Shootout will highlight select drag-and-drive competitors in exhibition races during the star-studded three-day event. Sick the Mag will promote the Superstar Shootout during Sick Week from January 27 - February 1, 2025, encouraging fans and participants to attend the event. The two organizations hope to highlight the unique aspects of each of their events to new audiences highlighting the future of hot rodding and drag racing entertainment. Plans are also in the works for additional driver engagements between the two organizations around the upcoming PRI Show in December.

The Red Line Synthetic Oil Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) announced today its eight-race 2025 schedule, coming after a successful campaign through the 2024 calendar year. The series will return to the six familiar racetracks throughout the East Coast and Midwest that they ventured to in 2024 yet again, starting at GALOT Motorsports Park and finishing at Virginia Motorsports Park, as in years past.

Stephen Bell, a seven-time winner in NHRA’s Factory Stock Showdown (FSS), will break into the professional Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series ranks at the season-opening NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida March 7-9. Reigning Pro Boost world champion Jason Harris raced to victory Sunday afternoon at the PDRA Pro Line Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger at Virginia Motorsport Park. The win put an exclamation mark on the end of his second consecutive world championship season in WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive, as he secured the title earlier in the day. In the final round, Harris recorded a 3.595-second pass at 209.20 MPH to defeat Jason Lee and his 3.629 at 209.33.

The longstanding 3-second barrier in Extreme Pro Stock fell Friday night when Mountain Motor Pro Stock rookie Randi Lyn Butner recorded a 3.997-second, 176.37 MPH pass in the second qualifying session at the PDRA Pro Line Racing Brian Olson Memorial World Finals presented by ProCharger. Butner’s pass down the Virginia Motorsports Park eighth mile with husband Bo Butner in the opposite lane marked the first official 3-second pass in Liberty’s Gears Extreme Pro Stock presented by AED Competition. Butner is also the provisional No. 1 qualifier at the last of eight races on the 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series tour.

Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster team raced to their fourth victory of the season Sunday at the Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex while Daniel Wilkerson and the SCAG Ford Mustang reached the semifinals and Dave Richards’ BlueBird / Versatran team wrapped their weekend in the first round.

Major shakeups at the most recent race on the Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series tour led to big moves at the top of the Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous points standings with just one race left in the season. Mark Ingersoll, lead crew chief for six-time and reigning world champion Erica Enders at Elite Motorsports, underwent a double lung transplant on Thursday, October 3rd in the Chicago area. As of today, Ingersoll is breathing on his own but has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Reigning Pro Boost world champion Jason Harris took over the points lead in WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive Saturday night when he earned his second consecutive win of the season. In a side-by-side 3.62-second final round against Todd “King Tut” Tutterow, Harris turned on the win light by five thousandths of a second to claim the ProFabrication PDRA DragWars presented by PST Driveshafts event win. It was a rematch of the final round at the 2024 Red Line Oil PDRA Drag Racing Series season opener at GALOT Motorsports Park, as well as the first GALOT win for the Pittsboro, North Carolina, native.
